I am asking for your help in maintaining the website, as I am no longer capable of paying everything that is connected to it.
I am compelled to ask for donations in order to administrate the website. Basically, our website now survives on donations. In order to survive and improve in both content and design, these are necessary.

We need to pay the annual fees for the domain, hosting, SSL certificate, webmaster and other web services. Also, in order to be able to bring new and good articles on the website, we need to pay authors who are willing to share their work exclusively for us. The translators have been working for free for a long time, and I need to pay them somehow.

The website maintenance is expensive and I cannot afford to work for free and to pay with my own money at the same time. All donations are going to the administration of this website and not in my pockets.

It doesn’t matter what sum you are willing to donate, if it is a one time donation, any donation is helpful and important. One of you donates 5$, another donates 5$, maybe one donates 10$ and so on. Think of it as if you were buying me a coffee or a beer in return for my work. As such, we’ll be able to bring you the best we can!

You can donate by pressing the Donate button below.

The simple fact that you’re here means that you’re interested in what we do, you probably like what we do and hopefully, you want to help us continue to do what we do. This means a lot for us, it is flattering and we really appreciate it!

I’ve been doing this for over 9 years now as a hobby/passion for the occult, trying to create a source of information worthy of your time. I’ve been able to create something out of nothing, and it took me lots of work and personal money to get it where it is today, with the help of a great team that I managed to create over the years.

What started out as a small project led by two people, ended up as a bigger project for a single person, trying to coordinate everything. As the website kept growing, so did the effort, money and expectations. We’ve managed to reach and help a lot of people, and our public deserves the best that we can offer. As the website grows, so do the expectations. And I personally want to reach the expectations of our readers and even exceed them. However, growing means investing… Investing time, effort, money.

Since the website gets bigger and bigger, it needs more space for hosting, better speed, better services, it needs quality material from people that I’m sure you’d love to read from. Unfortunately, that costs. It cost me in the past, when I took money out of my pocket, it cost me time when I needed to write/edit/translate/delete/create/sort/etc.

With the help of some very generous people who have helped with a Crowdfunding, I’ve been able to pay for the hosting, domain and SSL certificate for two years, and also to pay the webmaster. For that, I thank them again and again!

However, the hosting, domain, SSL certificate and webmaster will still have to be paid after that (the webmaster monthly or once every few months, depending on how I afford it), but also the translators (who already done a great job for free) and authors (past, present and future authors).

Of course, after some time when you basically work for free, for years and years, out of passion for something, and your work starts getting attention but no actual income, you start feeling at loss. Basically, the enthusiasm with which you’re working for free starts to fade away. The same is beginning to happen to me, my daily life is becoming more and more hectic, more busy, more stressful, and my ability and mood for working for free are decreasing. I’ve come to the point when I feel that my own work (and the work of the other members of the team) has reached the point of a certain value, of which I/we could receive something in return. Until now, what I’ve been able to earn from the donations of some awesome people, I’ve invested in the website. But now, however, I feel that it’s time that my own work and the work of my team is worth something. How much it is worth is up to you to decide.

So instead of making crowdfunding campaigns from time to time, I think it would be easier and better for me and the team for a monthly income to be able to feel that our work is worth something and to be able to grow and to bring more.

Basically, with your help, we could:

  1. Pay the hosting.
  2. Pay the domain.
  3. Pay the SSL certificate.
  4. Pay our webmaster, the person who is behind any technical aspect of the website.
  5. Pay the translators.
  6. Pay the authors.
  7. Get myself a decent income after a work that I’ve done for free and which I feel like it’s worth something. (this may sound selfish, but it’s an aspect which I must admit)

This has become too big to handle alone, and I need your help. Any financial donation is important.

Thus, I am asking for your help in maintaining the website, as I am no longer capable of paying everything that is connected to it. Of course, it would be lovely to be able to be paid for what I’m doing, but that will remain as a second option, after I pay everything connected to the website.

I have been working for free for a long time, and sometimes I feel like I’d like to buy myself a cup of coffee out of the money made from my work.

However, please don’t feel obliged to become a patron, having you as a guest on our website is a pleasure, but if you’d like to help Occult-Study grow, your monthly donation will help us bring more quality material.

If you enjoy what we do, if you enjoy our content and want to lend us your support, that’s awesome and we thank you a lot! However, if you can’t or don’t want to contribute that’s cool, we enjoy having you as a guest and we still love to know that people out there are appreciating our work, and we’ll keep doing this as long as we can. Some people just can’t contribute, but that doesn’t mean they can’t help. If you are in that position, the first and best thing to do right now is to spread the word about our website or our Patreon page. When you share this, it can be seen by people who might be interested in contributing, and if they do so, they will do it thanks to you!

With your help, we will be able to continue our work and bring more quality material, without using ads, sponsors or anything like that.

P.S.: We’re planning on launching our first interviews and video conferences with famous writers or occultists, and the access to them will have a fee. As a Patron, you will never pay any fee, not for the video conferences or any other services we will bring in the future. Also, you will be granted a free recording of the interview and video conference. So stay tuned!
